Conservation Poster Contest

| The Conservation Poster Contest is
open to all students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. A different
theme, for the posters, is selected each year and is usually based on
the National Wildlife theme for the year. All county school
teachers and art teachers receive support materials for each theme.
Please remember that all posters must adhere to contest rules.
In 2000, students were able to choose from one of three themes, "Water for Life -- Keep the Wild Alive", "On the Verge of a New Millennium: Today's Lesson -- Shaping Tomorrow's World", and "Community Waters". The Conservation District awarded prizes to winners in four age categories. Awards were presented at school award ceremonies. The local 1st place winners for 2000 were:
