CLINTON COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
PROGRAM CLOSED UNTIL OCTOBER OF 2010
In preparation of the 2007 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application process, the Clinton County Commissioners invite all County municipalities, authorities, and not-for-profit associations or organizations to submit a project(s) to be considered for funding. Clinton County’s CDBG entitlement funds are to be used for activities that benefit municipalities within the County that are not designated as entitlement communities.
To be funded, all proposed activities must meet eligibility and fundability criteria as set forth in the CDBG Entitlement Program regulations. Please see the attached requirements regarding eligibility and fundability. Those projects, which do not meet the criteria, may not be undertaken with CDBG funds.
Once the projects are reviewed and determined to be eligible and fundable activities, they will be considered for funding by the Clinton County Commissioners. Projects will be evaluated based on need, impact and completeness. All project requests must be submitted on the attached project funding request form and returned to the County Planning Department no later than 5:00 PM Friday December 15, 2006.
You will receive notices of public hearings being held so that you can present your proposals to the Commissioners. These hearings are also being held to provide citizens information concerning the amount of funds available, the range of activities that may be undertaken, and other important program requirements. We encourage you to participate in the development of the County’s 2007 CDBG application. Please plan on attending.
