The ITLS course provides for training in the skills needed for rapid assessment, resuscitation, stabilization, and transportation of trauma patients.  The ITLS Basic course provides the core knowledge and skill appropriate for all levels of EMS personnel.  The ITLS Advanced course builds on that knowledge, emphasizing assessment steps and sequencing as well as treatment interventions.  This course combines both lecture and hands on instruction.
